Kenny Loggins has revealed that he and longtime partner Lisa Hawkins are married after quietly eloping in Hawaii. The 78-year-old singer shared the news on September 17 during a screening of his documentary, Kenny Loggins: Conviction of the Heart, at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

A simple introduction delivered the surprise

Loggins made the announcement during a question-and-answer session when he paused to acknowledge Hawkins as his wife. The documentary includes a personal photograph of the couple after the Hawaii elopement, but they have not publicly disclosed the date of the ceremony.

The low-key reveal fits the private way the couple has handled much of their relationship. Loggins first spoke publicly about Hawkins in a 2023 AARP interview, saying at the time that they had already been together for five years. He explained that he wanted to spend more time with Hawkins and his grandchildren as he stepped away from the demanding pace of major touring.

Marriage arrives during a reflective career chapter

The wedding news surfaced at an event built around Loggins’ life and music. Hawkins’ family has become part of Loggins’ creative life as well. Her daughter, singer-songwriter Hunter Hawkins, has worked with him in the studio and performed alongside him. Loggins told the screening audience that developing new ideas with Hunter has become one of his greatest current creative joys.

Loggins completed his farewell tour in 2023, but he has framed that decision as a retirement from extensive touring rather than a complete exit from music.
