Michael B. Jordan has joined CultureCon 2026 in Brooklyn alongside Aaron Pierre, Wale and Tobe Nwigwe for the two-day creative festival.
Michael B. Jordan is heading to CultureCon 2026, adding one of Hollywood’s most prominent actor-filmmakers to the annual gathering for creators of color. The two-day festival will take place October 3 and 4 in Brooklyn, following a week of screenings, dinners and community programming across New York City.
Jordan joins a newly announced group that includes Lanterns star Aaron Pierre and musicians Wale and Tobe Nwigwe. Their appearances broaden a program already set to feature John Legend, Mahershala Ali, Daniel Kaluuya, Niecy Nash-Betts, Colin Kaepernick, Sherri Shepherd and other figures from entertainment, sports and business.
Jordan arrives with a busy film slate
The CultureCon appearance comes during a major stretch in Jordan’s career. After the commercial and awards success of Sinners, he is preparing his next directing project, The Thomas Crown Affair, which he will also produce and star in. He is also attached to an upcoming Miami Vice reboot.
That combination of acting, directing and producing makes Jordan a natural fit for an event focused on building sustainable creative careers. CultureCon’s programming is designed to connect high-profile talent with entrepreneurs and emerging creators, pairing stage conversations with practical resources and networking opportunities.
More than a celebrity panel
The weekend will include sessions on storytelling, brand development, audio production and the relationship between technology and creativity. Aaron Pierre is scheduled to take part in programming tied to HBO Max and Lanterns, while Colin Kaepernick will join an Audible conversation about leadership, identity and owning a personal narrative.
This year’s wider program also includes creator-focused activations from TikTok, Google, Pinterest, Meta, ESPN and other partners. CultureCon Week begins September 28, extending the event beyond the main festival with screenings and smaller gatherings around the city.
CultureCon describes itself as a creative homecoming, bringing together people working across culture, media and entrepreneurship. Jordan’s addition gives the 2026 edition a significant headline name, but the broader schedule keeps the emphasis on access, craft and long-term career building for the next generation of creators.
