Drake’s hour-long ‘FOMO’ film unveils new collaborations, an Ella Langley reworking and an early promise of a world tour in 2027.
Drake has finally unveiled Fear of Missing Out, turning the project’s mysterious rollout into an hour-long film filled with music videos, unreleased songs and glimpses of his life in Toronto. The Tuesday-night presentation expanded well beyond a conventional album teaser, moving between polished performance sequences, surreal comedy and personal moments.
The film includes appearances by Sexyy Red, Winnie Harlow, Kevin Durant, Stunna Sandy and Drake’s mother, Sandi Graham. Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor and Yeat are among the artists heard on new collaborations, while several tracks from Drake’s recent albums receive full visual treatments.
New songs meet familiar Drake landmarks
One of the most notable musical moments is Drake’s reworking of Ella Langley’s hit “Choosin’ Texas.” The slowed-down interpretation features Toliver and brings a country influence into a project that otherwise moves across rap and R&B. Billboard counted nine new tracks across the film, though no separate release schedule for those songs was announced.
The visual also revisits locations and imagery associated with earlier points in Drake’s career. A late sequence returns to the brightly lit set design of “Hotline Bling,” while another video echoes locations connected to “God’s Plan,” “Headlines” and “Started From the Bottom.” That backward glance gives the film the feel of a career scrapbook as much as a new release.
A world tour is on the horizon
At a Toronto screening tied to the premiere, Drake said he expects to tour around the world in 2027. He did not announce dates, venues or ticket information, so the comment remains an early preview rather than a formal tour launch.
FOMO had been teased through social posts and was described by Drake as a self-funded piece about making the most of one summer. After its debut, the YouTube stream was switched to private. For now, the film’s new songs, guest appearances and tour hint leave fans with a substantial first look but several unanswered questions about what will receive an official standalone release.
