Mayfair Witches Season 3 will premiere December 30, 2026, on both AMC and AMC+, sending Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan to Salem.
Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches is returning sooner than previously expected. A new Season 3 trailer unveiled around New York Comic Con sets the supernatural drama’s premiere for December 30, 2026, on AMC and AMC+.
The date sharpens an earlier timeline from AMC, which announced in July that the series would return in 2027. The network’s earlier teaser established the new season’s Salem setting and expanded cast, while the latest preview attaches a specific year-end launch to Rowan Fielding’s next chapter.
Rowan heads into Salem’s witch history
Alexandra Daddario returns as Rowan, the neurosurgeon who discovered that she belongs to the Mayfair family’s long line of witches. Season 3 moves the story to Salem, Massachusetts, where Rowan encounters another coven and a community still shaped by the town’s history of witch trials and folklore.
AMC has said the season will dig further into the show’s mythology and introduce additional “spellbound” families. Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels remain among the returning cast, alongside new or expanded roles for Betsy Brandt, Michiel Huisman, James Frain, Eliza Scanlen and Omar Maskati.
The Immortal Universe keeps expanding
The series is part of AMC’s connected Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Mark Johnson, who oversees that franchise for the network, executive produces Season 3 with co-showrunners Esta Spalding and Thomas Schnauz, as well as Michelle Ashford and Tom Williams.
The new trailer suggests that Rowan’s trip north will not offer a clean break from the Mayfair family’s troubles. It places her against unfamiliar witches while continuing the supernatural conflict left by Lasher and the possession of Cortland Mayfair.
Setting the premiere on December 30 gives AMC a year-end launch with immediate holiday-week viewing potential. It also resolves the broad 2027 window that accompanied the summer teaser, moving the return into the final days of 2026 unless the network announces another schedule change.
