Netflix has renewed ‘Haunted Hotel’ for season three, with its returning voice cast and more Undervale chaos planned for 2027.
Netflix is keeping the doors of the Undervale open. The streamer has renewed Haunted Hotel for a third season, with the adult animated comedy scheduled to return in 2027.
The announcement arrived as the show’s second season was building momentum on Netflix. It debuted on the platform’s Global English TV Top 10, while the first season has accumulated more than 15 million views since its September 2025 launch, according to figures attributed to Netflix in the renewal reports.
More supernatural trouble at the Undervale
Created by former Rick and Morty writer Matt Roller, Haunted Hotel follows a single mother trying to operate a hotel crowded with ghosts, monsters and other supernatural disasters. Her unusual support system includes her ghost brother, two children and a demon trapped in the body of a young boy.
Roller said the next chapter will bring the show’s biggest, funniest and scariest stories yet. Scripts for the season have already been written, and the creative team is aiming for a 10-episode run. Netflix has not announced a specific premiere date beyond the 2027 window.
The voice cast is set to return
Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides and Jimmi Simpson are expected back for season three. Their return gives the series continuity as it expands the Undervale’s collection of eccentric residents and visitors.
Roller remains an executive producer alongside Chris McKenna, Steve Levy and Dan Harmon. Erica Hayes serves as supervising director, and Titmouse continues as the animation studio. Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina are also executive producers.
The quick renewal gives Haunted Hotel room to build on its mix of family comedy and horror without leaving viewers waiting for a decision. With the scripts complete and the central cast returning, the largest unanswered question is when Netflix will place the new season on its 2027 calendar.
