Placebo will revisit its first two albums on a 10-date 2027 Latin America tour spanning Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.

Placebo will take its 30th-anniversary celebration to Latin America in 2027, with a 10-date tour built around the band’s first two albums. Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal are set to revisit songs from 1996’s self-titled debut and 1998’s Without You I’m Nothing, including material that has been absent from regular set lists for years.

Ten shows across six countries

The tour begins at São Paulo’s Suhai Music Hall on February 20. Three more Brazilian dates follow in Brasília on February 23, Curitiba on February 26 and Porto Alegre on February 28.

Placebo then heads to Buenos Aires on March 3, Santiago on March 6, Lima on March 9 and Bogotá on March 11. The run closes in Mexico with Guadalajara on March 16 and Monterrey on March 18. In all, the itinerary covers Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.

The early records return to center stage

The concept reaches back to the period when Placebo moved beyond London’s club circuit and began establishing an international audience. Olsdal has recalled that the 1996 debut coincided with the band’s first shows outside the United Kingdom and reflected an outlook that was never meant to be limited to one country.

That history gives the Latin American leg more than a standard greatest-hits framing. Fans can expect the set to emphasize the tension, glam edge and alternative-rock immediacy of the first album alongside the broader sound of Without You I’m Nothing. Early staples such as “Nancy Boy,” “Teenage Angst,” “Pure Morning” and “Every You Every Me” have been associated with the anniversary shows.

An anniversary extending beyond the stage

The tour follows the June release of Placebo RE, a reworked version of the debut assembled from the original master tapes. The band has described that project as a “director’s cut” shaped by three decades of performing the songs live rather than a replacement for the original record.

With the new dates, Placebo’s anniversary campaign now links that studio reappraisal to a six-country concert run. Ticket and presale details are being handled through the band’s official tour channels.
