Threads is rolling out podcast transcripts, richer episode cards, guest tags, save controls and audience insights for show creators.
Threads is expanding its podcast tools with a package designed to help creators promote episodes and measure how listeners respond. The Meta-owned social network is adding transcripts, richer episode cards, guest tags, save-for-later controls and new audience insights.
The update does not turn Threads into a podcast host. Instead, Meta is positioning the app as a discovery and conversation layer where creators can direct people to shows hosted elsewhere while keeping promotional material easy to browse.
Episodes get a more visible presentation
Podcast creators can add a dedicated profile card and banner, giving visitors a clearer view of the show attached to an account. When a host shares an episode link, Threads can display it as a tappable card rather than a plain URL, with support for media previews.
Hosts can also post transcripts for followers who want to read along, identify featured guests through tagged cards and let users save an episode post for later. Threads can remind creators to publish when a new episode is released, bringing several routine promotional steps into one workflow.
Creators get a closer look at reach
The analytics side of the rollout shows how podcast posts perform over time. Creators can review views from followers, non-followers and the overall audience, while traffic information is intended to show how much attention Threads is sending toward a show.
Meta began introducing podcast-focused features on Threads last year, including enhanced link cards and the ability to connect a profile with a podcast. The new tools broaden that effort from basic promotion into a more complete creator dashboard.
The strategy reflects a wider competition among social platforms to become the place where podcast clips and conversations circulate, even when the full programs live elsewhere. For creators, the practical appeal is straightforward: one post can now carry more context, remain available for later listening and produce clearer feedback about who saw it.
For listeners, the changes make podcast recommendations easier to understand without requiring Threads to become another full audio service.
