U2 reveals the first six dates of its 2027 stadium tour, with two-night stops in Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires, plus Beck.
U2 is heading back to stadiums in 2027. The Irish rock band has announced the first six dates of its The Greatest Show on Earth world tour, beginning February 23 at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
The opening run stays in Latin America. A second Mexico City concert is scheduled for February 26, followed by shows at São Paulo’s Estádio MorumBIS on March 10 and 12. The initial itinerary closes with two nights at Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate on March 23 and 25. Beck is set to open all six concerts.
A tour tied to U2’s next album
The announcement arrived alongside a new U2 single that shares the tour’s name. “The Greatest Show on Earth” will appear on Carnaval de Luz, the band’s forthcoming album, due November 13. Longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn directed the song’s California-desert video.
That connection makes the tour more than a catalog celebration. It gives U2 a stadium-scale platform for its first new album in nine years while leaving room for the group’s familiar live standards. The band has framed the title as a challenge to create an unusually ambitious night for concertgoers, built around color, spectacle and the core sound of guitar, bass and drums.
The six announced dates are only the opening chapter. Organizers say the Live Nation-produced tour will continue through 2027 and beyond, with North American and European dates expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. No ticket prices or additional regions were confirmed in the initial announcement.
For fans outside Latin America, the practical next step is to wait for the next schedule update rather than assume a city or venue. For U2, however, the direction is already clear: a new album campaign is becoming a global stadium run, and the band is launching it with multiple nights in three major Latin American cities.
