The final Dune: Part Three trailer puts Paul Atreides’ reign, his bond with Chani and a new conspiracy at the center of the story.
Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Dune: Part Three, giving audiences their clearest look yet at Denis Villeneuve’s conclusion to his science-fiction trilogy. The preview returns Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides to the center of a conflict shaped by power, prophecy and the consequences of his rule.
Set nearly two decades after Paul seized control of the Imperium, the film finds him governing as emperor while opposition gathers around him. The trailer emphasizes an expanding conspiracy and Paul’s increasingly difficult relationship with Chani, played by Zendaya. Rather than presenting victory as settled, the footage frames his reign as the beginning of a more dangerous reckoning.
Familiar allies and a major new threat
The returning ensemble includes Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Anya Taylor-Joy and Charlotte Rampling. Robert Pattinson joins the franchise as Scytale, a figure positioned against Paul’s rule, while Isaach de Bankolé is also part of the cast.
The new footage is built around scale, but its strongest tension comes from the personal cost of Paul’s choices. Chani remains central to that conflict, and the trailer suggests their bond will be tested by the political and religious forces surrounding the throne. Villeneuve co-wrote the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan, drawing on Frank Herbert’s later novels rather than simply repeating the structure of the first two films.
Chalamet amplified the rollout by sharing the trailer with his followers, while the studio paired the video with new character posters. The campaign arrives as anticipation for the trilogy’s ending moves from production updates into a final theatrical push.
Dune: Part Three is scheduled to open internationally on December 16, 2026, followed by its United States theatrical and IMAX release on December 18. Those dates place the movie in a major holiday corridor and give Warner Bros. a high-profile year-end event.
The trailer does not resolve the questions surrounding Paul’s future, and that is precisely its purpose. It sells the final chapter as a confrontation with the empire he built, not merely another battle to win.
