Apple is adding Apple TV and Apple Arcade to eligible iCloud+ plans in more than 100 countries, with the rollout beginning this month.

Apple is expanding iCloud+ beyond storage and privacy tools by adding Apple TV and Apple Arcade to eligible subscriptions in more than 100 countries. The rollout begins this month and comes at no additional charge for subscribers in participating markets.

The change combines three different parts of Apple’s services business. iCloud+ provides cloud storage and features such as Private Relay and Hide My Email, Apple TV offers the company’s original films and series, and Apple Arcade supplies a catalog of games without ads or in-app purchases.

A broader bundle at a lower entry point

Apple already packages several services through Apple One, which can include iCloud+, Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Arcade. The new iCloud+ offer is narrower, but it places entertainment inside a subscription that many customers may already use primarily for device backups, photos and account storage.

That distinction matters because iCloud+ plans can start at a much lower monthly price than Apple One. By including video and gaming in eligible plans, Apple is creating a less expensive route into two of its entertainment services in the selected countries. Exact pricing, available storage tiers and eligibility can vary by market, so subscribers will need to check the offer displayed for their region.

Family access is part of the package

Apple says Family Sharing will allow an iCloud+ subscription to be shared with as many as five family members. That makes the addition more than a single-user promotion: one household plan can provide storage benefits alongside access to Apple TV programming and the Apple Arcade library.

The company’s announcement highlights series and films on Apple TV as well as hundreds of games in Apple Arcade. Existing iCloud+ users in participating countries should gain access during the rollout rather than having to purchase the entertainment services separately.

The move also shows how Apple is using its large base of cloud-storage customers to widen the audience for entertainment. Instead of asking users to begin with a streaming subscription, the company is attaching television and games to a service already built into everyday use of iPhones, iPads and Macs.
