The Strokes and Phoebe Bridgers will play separate November episodes of SNL, alongside hosts Druski and John Mulaney this fall.

Saturday Night Live is turning its next run of episodes into a compact showcase for indie rock and contemporary pop. The Strokes and Phoebe Bridgers have been booked as musical guests for two November broadcasts, extending a season that will return from its current break with a Halloween episode.

The November pairings

The Strokes will perform on November 7, when comedian and online creator Druski makes his hosting debut. One week later, on November 14, John Mulaney will return as host with Bridgers as the musical guest. Before those dates, actor Inde Navarrette is scheduled to lead the October 31 episode, accompanied by Gracie Abrams.

The bookings give each November show a distinct identity. Druski’s first turn as host will arrive alongside a veteran New York band with a long history on the program, while Mulaney’s latest appearance will be paired with an artist whose previous visit generated one of the show’s most discussed recent music moments.

Familiar artists return to Studio 8H

For The Strokes, the November booking is set to become their fifth performance on SNL. The band previously appeared in 2002, 2006, 2011 and 2020. Their last visit also landed on a Mulaney-hosted episode, where they played “The Adults Are Talking” and “Bad Decisions.” The group returned this year with its seventh studio album, Reality Awaits.

Bridgers is preparing for her second solo musical-guest slot. Her 2021 debut featured “Kyoto” and “I Know the End,” ending with the much-shared image of her smashing a guitar against a stage monitor. She later returned in 2023 as part of boygenius with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus.

The three-week schedule connects different corners of the current entertainment conversation: Abrams brings mainstream pop momentum to Halloween, The Strokes offer a seasoned rock presence, and Bridgers returns after expanding her audience through both solo work and boygenius. For viewers, the lineup also makes the musical performances a reason to track the show across consecutive weeks rather than treating each episode as an isolated event.
