Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes applied for a marriage license in Arkansas, nearly a year after publicly announcing their engagement.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have taken a concrete step toward marriage. The former GMA3 co-hosts applied for a marriage license in Washington County, Arkansas, on Sept. 18, according to multiple reports citing confirmation from the county clerk.

The filing comes nearly a year after the couple publicly announced their engagement. It does not, by itself, confirm that a ceremony has already taken place, and Robach and Holmes have not publicly identified the location or date of their wedding.

The couple had already chosen a date

Holmes said during a May appearance on Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast that the pair had settled on a wedding date, though neither he nor Robach disclosed it. The new Arkansas paperwork is the clearest public indication since then that those plans are moving forward.

Arkansas also has a personal connection for Holmes, who was born in West Memphis. The license application was made in Washington County, on the other side of the state, but no report reviewed for this article established that the ceremony itself will happen there.

From co-anchors to podcast partners

Robach and Holmes confirmed their engagement on their Amy & T.J. podcast in October 2025, telling listeners they had already been engaged for about a month. Robach had worn her engagement ring publicly before the announcement, including at large sporting events, without immediately attracting widespread notice.

Their relationship first became public in late 2022 while both were working on GMA3: What You Need to Know. They left ABC News in January 2023 and later built a joint podcasting business that put their personal and professional partnership at the center of their public work.

The marriage-license application marks a significant development, but it is best understood as a legal prerequisite rather than a wedding announcement. Until the couple shares more, the ceremony’s timing and setting remain private.
