Shakira ended her 13-show Madrid residency with Maluma, Bizarrap and other guests after a run she said drew about 700,000 people.

Shakira brought her Madrid residency to an emotional close on October 12, turning the 13th and final concert into a celebration of Latin music, Colombian culture and the scale of her latest touring era.

The Colombian superstar welcomed Maluma, Bizarrap, Laura Pausini, Beéle and Dani Martín during the finale at Macondo Park. The closing show capped a run that was initially announced with eight dates before expanding to 13 as demand grew.

A finale packed with collaborations

Maluma joined Shakira for “Chantaje” and “Agua,” while Pausini returned to sing “Antología.” Martín appeared for “Te Dejo Madrid,” and Beéle performed “Algo Tú.” Bizarrap then helped close the night with their global hit “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.”

The production also drew directly from Shakira’s Barranquilla roots. Carnival dancers joined the stage, and a drone display formed a she-wolf before showing “12+1,” a playful way of marking the final date. The concert coincided with Spain’s National Day, adding another layer to the evening’s celebration of Spanish-speaking cultures.

Billboard and Caracol Radio both reported that Shakira said roughly 700,000 people attended the Madrid run. The figure came from the artist rather than an independently released venue audit. She also said more than 10,000 people had worked on the shows and the surrounding themed complex.

From eight dates to a landmark run

Onstage, Shakira described the residency as historic for her and said the audience helped carry her through personal difficulties, including concerns about her father’s health. She thanked the musicians, dancers, production teams and collaborators who built the month-long project.

The residency’s growth from eight performances to 13 became a central part of the finale. What began as an ambitious European stop developed into a concentrated showcase for a catalog that stretches across more than three decades.

The last night did not rely on a single surprise. Instead, its guest list, visual production and nods to Barranquilla connected different chapters of Shakira’s career. By ending with Bizarrap and one of her defining recent collaborations, she closed the Madrid chapter with a song closely associated with her current global resurgence.
