Alix Earle uses Earle Meets World to explain her Alex Cooper fallout, sharing a drafted text and her account of the Unwell split.
Alix Earle has brought her long-running split with Alex Cooper into the open on her Netflix reality series Earle Meets World. In the show, Earle reads aloud a sharply worded text she drafted for her former boss, framing the dispute as a breakdown of trust rather than a routine business separation.
The message includes Earle’s claims that she felt manipulated, intimidated and taken advantage of while working with Cooper’s Unwell Network. She also accuses Cooper of choosing money over morals. Those statements are Earle’s allegations, presented in the series; the reports reviewed for this story do not establish that the text was actually sent.
Alix Earle explains why she stayed quiet
Earle says fear shaped her response to the public fallout. In a confessional segment, she explains that she learned through media coverage that her relationship with Unwell had ended and worried about how Cooper might respond if she spoke publicly.
The professional relationship began in 2023, when Earle became one of the first creators signed to Cooper’s newly launched network. Her Hot Mess podcast debuted soon afterward. By February 2025, however, the show had been dropped by Unwell, and questions about the two creators’ relationship followed.
Cooper publicly challenged Earle in April 2026 to be specific about their disagreement, saying there was no nondisclosure agreement preventing her from talking. Earle offered only a brief reply at the time. Her Netflix series now provides the most detailed version of her side of the dispute.
A creator-business dispute becomes reality TV
The episode turns a private media-industry rupture into the central drama of a high-profile streaming launch. That choice gives Earle control over the setting and timing of her account, while also ensuring the feud becomes part of the show’s entertainment value.
It is important to separate the documented timeline from the contested claims. The signing, podcast launch, split and public exchanges are part of the record described by both reports. Earle’s characterization of Cooper’s conduct remains her account. Cooper’s earlier public position was that Earle should explain the dispute directly and that no agreement was stopping her.
Earle Meets World is now available on Netflix, making the fallout one of the series’ immediate talking points.
