Bret Michaels has scheduled six fall concerts after surgery and a doctor-ordered break, beginning October 16 in Portage, Indiana.
Bret Michaels is preparing to return to the stage with six concerts scheduled for October and November. The dates will be his first public performances since doctors ordered the Poison frontman to stop touring while he recovered from surgery.
A short fall run begins in Indiana
The first show is set for October 16 at the Amphitheater at Founders Square in Portage, Indiana. Michaels will then play two nights at Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan, on November 13 and 14.
The run continues at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, on November 27, followed by Northfield Park in Ohio on November 28 and the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, on November 29. Michaels has described the limited schedule as his “Road to Recovery Tour.”
Why the earlier dates were canceled
Michaels underwent emergency treatment for a complex obstructing kidney stone and had a ureteral stent placed earlier this year. He attempted to perform in Sugar Hill, Georgia, on August 21, but his medical team subsequently advised him to cancel the remaining shows and allow more time for a gradual recovery.
The singer has lived with Type 1 diabetes since childhood, a condition his doctors specifically considered while discussing the effects of summer heat, humidity and touring on his blood sugar. Michaels has continued to update fans about his recovery and training while emphasizing that the new dates remain a measured return rather than a full schedule.
More rock plans are already forming
Beyond the fall concerts, Michaels is booked for the Rock Legends Cruise departing Miami in February 2027. The lineup also includes Foreigner, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Collective Soul, the Alan Parsons Live Project, Gin Blossoms and The Fixx.
He has also expressed hope for a future reunion of Poison’s original lineup, potentially in 2027 or 2028, depending on his health. No reunion dates have been announced. For now, the six-show fall itinerary gives Michaels a controlled path back to live performance after an abrupt medical pause.
