Page has spoken about enjoying the earlier film professionally while feeling deeply uncomfortable in himself during that period.

Returning to a Nolan set offered a contrast. Page has described the newer experience as cathartic and more enjoyable because he now feels more comfortable in his identity. That change, he explained, removes an internal obstacle that once affected how he approached performance.

Comfort on set meets an uncertain industry

A role in a major Christopher Nolan release might seem like an automatic springboard, but visibility does not guarantee the next offer. The actor’s account underscores how unpredictable casting can remain even after a high-profile credit.

His recent screen work includes the final season of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, while The Odyssey placed him in an ensemble led by Matt Damon and featuring Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o and Robert Pattinson. Page plays Sinon, a figure connected to the aftermath of the Trojan War in the film’s adaptation.

Rather than presenting the lack of offers as a retirement signal, Page framed it as an open invitation. He believes greater personal ease could allow him to deliver some of his best work now. The unresolved question is not whether he wants another role, but which filmmaker or studio will make the call.
