Fontaines D.C. set 2027 Slane Castle show with Hayley Williams

Fontaines D.C. will headline Slane Castle in County Meath on June 26, 2027, with Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach joining the bill. The open-air concert remains subject to license approval.

The announcement places the Dublin band in rare company: Fontaines D.C. are set to become only the third Irish act to headline the historic venue, after Thin Lizzy in 1981 and U2 in 2001.

Ticket sales begin this week

Artist presale access begins September 1, followed by an MCD presale on September 2. General ticket sales open at 10 a.m. local time on September 3, with prices starting at €89.25, including the booking fee and a €1 donation to Focus Ireland. Additional service charges may apply to online purchases.

Slane Castle’s natural amphitheater has room for roughly 80,000 concertgoers and has hosted some of music’s biggest touring names. Its list of previous headliners includes the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Oasis, Madonna, Metallica, Eminem and Harry Styles.

For Fontaines D.C., the booking follows a high-profile festival weekend that included headline appearances at Reading, Leeds and Electric Picnic. The band teased the Slane date at Electric Picnic when “Slane 2027” appeared on stage screens at the end of its set.

A landmark date in the band’s next chapter

The home-country show arrives as Fontaines D.C. prepare to release their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, on October 16 through XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, the record follows 2024’s Romance, the album that pushed the group further into international arenas and festival headline slots.

Williams adds another major draw to the event after expanding her solo work alongside her role as Paramore’s frontwoman. Dempsey brings a distinctly Irish songwriting presence, while Madra Salach rounds out a bill built to connect generations of alternative music fans.

The Slane announcement is more than another large tour date. For a Dublin band that emerged from intimate clubs less than a decade ago, headlining one of Ireland’s most storied concert sites marks a striking measure of how quickly its audience has grown.
