Jennifer Lawrence discusses baby Botox, facials and the beauty procedures she avoids in a candid new interview conducted in Venice.
Jennifer Lawrence is treating beauty maintenance as a subject for candor rather than mystery. In a new Vogue interview conducted during a spa visit in Venice, the actor discussed the treatments she uses, the procedures she avoids and the practical limits that performing places on any dramatic change to her face.
Why movement still matters on camera
Lawrence said she believes in facials and gets small amounts of Botox, commonly described as “baby Botox.” Her reason for keeping the treatment light is professional as much as personal: she needs visible facial movement for acting. That distinction shaped the rest of the conversation, which was less a makeover reveal than a frank account of balancing beauty trends with a job built on expression.
She also spoke about being curious about buccal fat removal while acknowledging that an obvious change would be difficult to hide. Lawrence expressed more caution about fat-transfer procedures, saying she would rather watch how the treatments develop before considering them herself. Page Six separately highlighted the same remarks from the Vogue interview.
The spa setting brought less invasive treatments into focus. Lawrence described enjoying lymphatic drainage after travel and a multi-step facial that included radiofrequency, microcurrent, ultrasound, masks and an oxygen mist. She has also begun using prescription tretinoin, making hydration and the management of redness part of her current skin-care routine.
Wellness without a perfect script
The conversation moved beyond cosmetic work. After finishing the Brooklyn shoot of Martin Scorsese’s What Happens at Night with Leonardo DiCaprio, Lawrence said she planned to return to strength training. She has also taken up yoga, while avoiding hot yoga because heat can aggravate melasma.
Her everyday approach is similarly informal. Lawrence said she has been using a regular bicycle to add movement to her days in New York, even as she admitted she does not always have a helmet available. The detail fit the interview’s broader theme: she is interested in wellness, but she is not presenting herself as perfectly disciplined.
For fans, the appeal lies in that lack of polish. Lawrence did not frame facials, injections or high-end spa treatments as requirements, and she did not announce plans for surgery. Instead, she drew a line between curiosity and action, explaining how visibility, performance and aging influence the choices she is prepared to make.
