Netflix has ordered the revenge comedy All the Rage, reuniting Dead to Me collaborators Liz Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson.

Netflix has ordered All the Rage, a half-hour dark comedy created by longtime collaborators Liz Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson. The project reunites two writers who worked together on Dead to Me, while also extending Feldman’s creative relationship with the streamer.

The story follows Emma and Eli, former friends who reconnect after a long estrangement. Their reunion gives them a shared mission: confronting the man they believe tore them apart. That premise positions the series as a revenge comedy built around a damaged friendship rather than a conventional crime plot.

A reunion behind the camera

Feldman and Hutchinson will serve as creators and executive producers. Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum are also executive producing through Gloria Sanchez Productions, alongside Christie Smith of Rise Management. No cast, production start or release date was included in the initial announcement.

The new order draws a clear line back to Dead to Me, Netflix’s grief-driven comedy starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. That series ran for three seasons and received six Emmy nominations. Hutchinson later worked on No Good Deed and Apple TV’s Palm Royale, while Feldman created both Dead to Me and No Good Deed for Netflix.

Feldman extends her Netflix deal

Along with ordering the series, Netflix extended Feldman’s overall deal. She will continue developing and producing television and film projects for the company. The move gives All the Rage a broader business context: it is not simply a one-off pickup, but the next step in an ongoing partnership.

Feldman and Hutchinson described the fictional revenge story as being inspired by their real 30-year friendship, joking that the show would let them work through decades of neurosis and resentment. Netflix comedy executive Tracey Pakosta highlighted the pair’s established chemistry and said the series would combine dark humor with emotional depth.

That mix is familiar territory for Feldman, whose best-known Netflix work has used mystery and sharp comedy to explore grief, guilt and complicated loyalty. With All the Rage, the creative team is shifting that formula toward estrangement and payback. The central relationship—and who eventually plays Emma and Eli—will now be the key elements to watch as the project moves toward production.
