Sharon Osbourne says she visits Ozzy’s grave daily and still speaks to him while preserving memories of his final Birmingham concert.

Sharon Osbourne has offered a deeply personal account of life after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, saying she visits his grave every day and still speaks to him as she learns to live with the loss.

In a new interview, the television personality explained that the Black Sabbath frontman is buried in the family garden, where she can see the site from her window. She said the private location was a deliberate choice: she wanted her husband to rest without the constant foot traffic that can surround the graves of public figures.

Grief inside a public farewell

Ozzy died at age 76, less than three weeks after his farewell performance in Birmingham. Sharon described the morning of his death and said he had suffered a heart attack after getting up for his usual workout. She also reflected on the final conversation they shared during the night, a memory that gives her account a striking intimacy without changing the public facts of his death.

The family’s grief unfolded alongside an enormous response from fans. Thousands lined Birmingham’s streets for his funeral procession. Sharon said the cards and messages were preserved and photographed, while flowers left by mourners were composted for the garden. That gesture allowed the public tribute to become part of the family’s private space.

The joy of one last concert

Sharon has repeatedly returned to the importance of the final show. At a recent London screening of Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning, she said the concert left him happy and energized during his final days. The event reunited Black Sabbath and brought artists including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera and Tool to Birmingham.

Doctors had advised Ozzy not to perform because of his fragile health, but he was determined to thank fans and say goodbye. Sharon recalled that he watched the other acts from his dressing room and was moved by the support around him. The concert film, which includes backstage material and performances from the event, is scheduled to reach cinemas worldwide on October 28.

Her latest comments present mourning as an ongoing relationship rather than a clean break. More than a year after Ozzy’s death, the daily visit, the preserved messages and the film of his final performance have become different ways of keeping his presence close.
